How to Use Your Haakaa Breast Pump:
1. Sterilise your pump by boiling in water for 2-3 minutes.
2. Place the pump flange over your nipple – make sure your nipple is centred comfortably in the neck of the pump.
3. Apply suction – you may need to adjust the position of your pump a couple of times. Once the pump is secure and comfortable, apply suction by squeezing the base of the pump to start the flow of milk.
4. Once milk begins to flow, simply leave the pump alone to do its thing!
5. When the pump is full, empty into a safe storage container and reposition.
6. If the flow of milk slows or you’ve expressed your desired amount, simply stick the suction base to a flat surface while you finish feeding or redress.
Tips: Encourage let-down by placing a warm flannel on top of your breast and massaging gently. While your child is feeding, attach your Haakaa pump to the other breast to catch precious milk that would otherwise be lost in a nursing pad.
Cleaning & Care
Clean after each use. We strongly recommend cleaning and sterilising your Haakaa Breast Pump with any steam sterilising system or by boiling in water for 2-3 minutes. Do not use any bleach-based agents or sterilising tablets to clean this product. Instead, we recommend using a gentle, baby-safe dish soap. Do not use UV sterilisers to clean this product as it may impact the lifespan of your pump.
Caution
Check product condition regularly. Replace if this product shows any signs of damage. Do not store near any sharp objects. Only soft bristle brushes or soft sponges should be used to clean this product as hard scourers may scratch the surface. Exposure to detergent may make the clear silicone in this product appear cloudy. This product is not a toy. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use. Store product in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Adult supervision is required.

The game changer for breastfeeding
I had been a longtime fan of the company even before having a baby of my own! When I finally got to try this for myself I was SHOCKED at how easy and comfortable this was. I actually preferred using this over my Spectra (and exclusively breastfed for 14 months). My go-to use for the pump was on the opposite side of the one I nursed on. I was able to build an continue to have a freezer stash just by using this! Also I cannot forget to mention I ended up getting mastitis and using the Haakaa with epsom salt was the only way I was able to get relief even while on medication! I add this to any baby shower gift and cannot recommend this pump enough!

Fantastic Product. Wish I had used it sooner.
This product is sooo good. Have tried other brands of similar products in other post partum/nursing experiences and can’t believe the difference. Love the suction base so it doesn’t get knocked over and so easy to use and clean. Have managed to collect over 1L of milk in 2 weeks with minimal effort and saved a lot of washing without milk soaking through clothes and bedding with my let down. I have breast pumps but this is far easier to use and with the level of suction, it hasn’t resulted in engorgement or oversupply issues if I don’t use it for a day or so. This is my third bub and wish I had used this product with the others. Highly recommend
